Rain Effect

Add rain effect to your pictures

First: Open the image for editing:


Add a new layer by pressing this icon:


Use the default foreground and background color (click D Button):


Apply a "clouds" filter Filter -> Render -> clouds


Apply (add noise) filter Filter -> Noise -> Add Noise
Set the amount to 135% and distribution to Gaussian:


Then apply (Motion Blur) filter Filter -> Blur -> Motion Blur
Set the angle to -40 and distance to 15 pixels:


Change the blending mode for the layer from normal to screen


Then adjust image level by Image -> Adjustments -> Levels
Enter the desired input levels:


Your image now looks like it is raining:
