Basic Shadow
by busTa - 15.06.2006This tutorial will teach you how to make a basic shadow for objects. This can be
very useful when adding perspective to an image, like a solid-base ground.
Step 1
Open a new document, 400x400 with the object that you want to give a shadow.
The new document should have a white background.

Step 2
Using your circle marquee tool, make an oval shaped like the picture below.
(The background is transparent in this picture because of screenshot, make sure
you use a document with a white background)

Step 3
Fill the circle you selected with a dark grey color. Don't make it to light!

Step 4
Go to Filter > Gaussian Blur and use a setting of 10.0.
