Abstract Brushing Signature
by busTa - 15.06.2006Hey everyone. I've been making signatures for awhile now, I just thought I would
share with everyone my ways of making an abstract signature using brushes and color options.
Enjoy!
Step 1 - Getting Started
Open up a new document, RGB color, 600x150, Transparent.

Step 2 - Clouds
Go to Filter > Render > Clouds
This will provide a base for your brushing

Step 3 - Brushing
You are going to make 2 new layers: one for black brushing and one for white.

Do random strokes with the brush, make sure not to overlap on the same layers,
which means don't brush the same area twice with balck if you are on the black
layer, white if you are on the white layer.

Step 4 - Blending
You are going to set the black layer's blending option to "Soft Light" and the
white layer to "Overlay". Your result should look something like this:

Step 5 - Merge Visible
Go to Layer > Merge Visible or simply press Ctrl + Shift + E

Step 6 - Hue/Saturation
Go to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation or press Ctrl + U

Step 7 - Setting Color Values
For this image I used a hue of 202, saturation of 15, and a lightness of 0.

Step 8 - Duplication
Right - click your layer and press "Duplicate Layer", or press Ctrl + J

Your result should look something like this now:

Step 9 - Adding a 1 px border
Make a new layer by pressing Ctrl + Shift + N
Press Ctrl + A (Select All)
Go to Edit > Stroke

Set the width to 1 px, inside.

Step 10 - The End
This is my result after adding some text and a render.

I hope this tutorial was of help to everyone. This is how I leave my legacy .
